Weblogic Console : another user already owns the lock

Sometimes on Weblogic Console we see below message

"another user already owns the lock"

To come out of such a situation you need the user who has made the changes or if you have an admin user, you can take the lock.

The lock usually appears when some deployment has been made and is still not activated.

Below two options actually appears after deployment to complete the process.

1. Activate Changes

2. Undo all changes

a.) If you have logged in with the user who did the deployments, then you should be able to see those buttons for above options in left pane, or in the "Change Center" on home page of console.

b.) If you are an administrator, then at the Home page of weblogic console, at Change Center the button will be "Take lock and Edit".

Once you click on that, the warning message of error disappears and you gets the lock, and all the buttons activated, and there appears two buttons for above options.

Now just by pressing any of them to activate/undo the deployment; the deployment completes and locks gets released.
